The Trumpenreich has returned
Next stop: Tehran?
Doesn't seem as realistic. Venezuela was fairly low hanging fruit, in our sphere, without regional allies or truly allied world powers. Weak military and lack of fortification against these kinds of operations. No leverage against us at all. A country very divided, already a majority against the regime. Not so much the same in an Iran where domestic complaints have people rioting with nationalist slogans saying their regime should cut out foreign interventions- not be overthrown by one.
The Venezuelan people already voted Maduro out,
but the Iranians are closer to the revolutionary fervor that overthrew the Shah. Our interference would unite them.
