Well Potus banned and tried to lock him up repeatedly, bans for contradicting the covid czars, bans for refusing to use transgender pronouns. Got Roseanne Barr canceled for crossing Obama, got Gina Carano fired. Multiple trump officials locked up on phony excuses like contempt of congress, journalists and economists and trump allies had their homes raided by storm troopers in the middle of the night. They raided the home of a journalist and imprisoned him because he received a copy of Ashley Biden's diary and decided it wasnt newsworthy and didnt publish it.

Karma is the danger here

My big question going into 2025 was whether Trump would seek vengeance and claim his eye for an eye, or whether he'd be the bigger man and restore civility and normalcy. Biden was the worst offender against civil liberties so far.

It is just a bill of attainder by another name, and blatantly unconstitutional. It is the same degree of abuse of power and arbitrary persecution as we saw in europe before the founding of our democracy. Congress invented a crime to charge someone, from no underlying facts or actions. We rebelled against England to put an end to this kind of nonsense and Biden brought it right back.

1969, James Groppi led a protest march of Welfare Mothers in Madison, with 1000 mothers marching to the Wisconsin state assembly chamber for a sitdown strike. Well consider the Roseanne Barr similar situation. She was forcibly removed because of implicit, not explicit, pressure from the white house. The networks did Obama's bidding without him needing to ask.
That's the same scenario we're seeing play out now. Sure the government didn't pressure the business explicitly, but the business is doing the government's bidding due to implicit pressure.

Covid was a lot worse and more authoritarian than this Trump/Obama parallel, because Biden's administration was directly involved in censoring people, forcing their will on social media and micromanaging their algorithms and bans. Hell they were basically echoing the soviet era by having government censors send lists of names of people to 'take care of'.
