Figure of speech for what? There's no such thing as otherworldly accountability for worldly actions, unless you believe there is

I'm more ambivalent, and believe that the cancer *is* a form of divine accountability. It's punishment for him being a shitty person

Do exposure to carcinogenics and aging make me a worse person? Since cancer is apparently divine intervention and those two are the main factors for the chance to develop cancer they must be related

it's always pointed out that christopher hitchens died from throat cancer, a man who spent his entire life blaspheming from his mouth.

he was actually terrible at philosophy and logical arguments, but was still very popular probably due to his accent and anti-religion being the in-movement

I remember Trump trying to kill Biden with his COVID in a debate, fun times.

dont know how that works but lefties have all kinds of imaginations.

There are extremists on both sides of the aisle that takes these things way too far. Doesn’t make it right not should it be acceptable.

all i see from lefties is street violence, spitting and endless screaming slurs at people and the ones not doing those things are cheering on the ones that are.

Sure, why not. I think that "bad" people going to hell is as plausible as every other imagination what happens after your body rots in the ground. I personally also think it is mostly escapism, we would do much better not waiting for justice in an imaginary afterlife and instead should hold people accountable while they are still alive.

You also implied that you disagree with my judgment of Fred Trumps person; do you mind to share what you think his redeeming qualities were?

you sure "not believing" in a after life isnt your own escapism?

for people that are not held acountable while they are alive? with out a God there is no justice,.........ever

1. Maybe? I think I would feel better if I could believe that my loved ones who died will wait for me instead of being just gone, I just don't. Maybe I would be terribly scared of hell if I believed in it, so at least I don't have to bother about that?

2. We should strive for justice in the reality we live in, independently if some higher power will judge us after we die.

he was actually terrible at philosophy and logical arguments outside a religious lens, but was still very popular probably due to his accent and anti-religion being the in-movement

i had hitchens reviled to me in real time. he was simply a con man. he would talk nonsense then follow up with insults and ev1 would get sidetrack with his insults. it was creepy how well it worked.
his fanbase loved it, fully enamored.
anytime you get challenged by a hitchens fan boy you only need to ask them one question. "what was hitchens best argument" and the conversation goes quiet.

hitchens died from alcohol and smoke addiction. i was delivered from those things. addiction is so powerful, yet there is something even more powerful. even overpower a little hard heart

Aging faster and/or contracting disease is a consequence of bad choices in life related largely to exercise and food consumption, so yeah it does make you a bad person categorically. A bad person makes bad choices

But in this case it's a big old slap down from the guy upstairs. His sins are great and it is just that he suffers

Does keeping yourself fit and eating healthy food make you a good person? If so Biden was a much better guy than the mcd addicted fatso currently in the white house, curious.

Yes

And yeah I've always praised him for staying slim and healthy. He's not being punished for sins of indolence and gluttony, but for his heresy, blasphemy, persecution of innocents, and corruption graft

really just empty talk. sounds nice but what do you really do?
let me tell you how i found the lord. i was home due to health problems drinking and smoking my life away playing vidio games. i realized i was sitting in front of the greatest information machine ever imagined. i got it into my head to "find the truth of it all". my thought was never on God and the first topic was what money was and were it came from. that opened a huge can of worms i would of never imagined. as things progressed religions also entered into the huge pile of stuff. they all failed but scripture. still hard to believe i somehow became a christian. repentance and deliverance. you want to "strive for justice in the reality we live in" maybe first you need to know what the truth is.
a fair warning, scripture going to ask you to do some hard things your flesh is going to hate. i probably spent a year fighting about forgiveness of my trespassers.
in John 14:6 of the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible. The full verse states: "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me". This verse emphasizes the belief that Jesus is the only path to God and eternal life.
