You said you grew up in a conservative/catholic household. I grew up in a conservative/christian household. I was a lib/democrat literally my whole life up until about 5 years ago. Until I woke up and started looking at both sides without any bias

When you say that you woke up and started thinking for yourself, who exactly was thinking for you? I think you just wanted to rebel against your parents. Happens quite a bit
