When two major food exporters in Europe go to war then food across the globe tends to go up in price.
But yeah you can blame the president I guess.

I took a screenshot of the first row. You took a screenshot of the cheapest one you could possibly find. If you go to the grocery store to buy bread in Texas, 99% of the options are not $1

Yeah if you purposefully exclude the cheapest options prices tend to go up. You can find expensive bread anywhere.

Even at the local grocer in my town bread is only about $1.50 for the cheapest option.

I worked at Walmart for a couple years and I found that for what I usually get, Walmart has an inhouse brand that's almost always cheaper than other grocery options. I think it's crazy how scammy the membership grocery chains are, considering Walmarts inhouse brand great value, is almost always equal or better in quality

Yeah but Great Value quality is usually ass. It's good when you're kinda poor, which a lot of people are so it's a good option to have, but once you have a little more income Costco is pretty great.

I buy all my bulk stuff at Costco, my non-bulk stuff at Aldi, and my perishables at the local grocer.

We have a vacuum sealer and pre-season and tenderize all our meat, before vacuum sealing. Then sous vide it to thaw it.

Eating gourmet ramen today.

Even Biden can't make that shit unaffordable.

Were there any wars under Trump?

No? Didn't think so!

The stock market crashed, oil production faced its largest annual decline, and a global pandemic happened under Trump <_<
Let's be genuine and blame candidates for things they're actually responsible for

Trump had as much control over a global pandemic happening as I do over the sun rising tomorrow. His tax cuts I'll admit played a role but nowhere near touching what Biden has done in the last 3 years. The pandemic response (largely a huge and expensive overreaction) didn't originate from Trump but the whole government basically agreed to go over board and waste trillions with Democrats very loudly labeling anyone that wasn't on board with the shutdowns as a murderer that doesn't care for the elderly or vulnerable. Some of us still remember who was saying what.

On the other hand Biden had control over policies he was proposing that are leading to massive deficit spending, on level with the pandemic, GFC, and WW2. No one forced Biden/Dems to push for widely inflationary policies like build back better, green new deal, inflation reduction act, or fomenting wars that have played a role in de-globalization and some energy/commodities retrenchments.

That was my only point, there’s no sense alluding to Biden being responsible for the situation in Ukraine or increasing food prices
