hearing an argument in court is not the same thing as giving someone a platform to push their propaganda, do you understand the difference? Tucker has been pushing Kremlin talking points for YEARS. why do you think Putin denied interviews to everyone except his special little boy?
because Tucker is already politically aligned with Russia and is going to give him softball questions. use your fuckin brain dude

This is exactly the problem. There won't be any probing questions. Putin knows he won't be really challenged on anything, he knows Tucker will treat him as an ally because he needs to remain relevant. It's a calculated win for both of them: One gets to spread their propaganda on a western platform, the other one maintains relevant.

If it was a serious journalist, asking Putin to justify his war that cost so many innocent lives and plunged the world into chaos, hitting him with critical questions and pushback, that would be interesting at least. Just platforming his bullshit and disinformation, though? Irresponsible and cynical.

So many assertions!

1. You claim to know what Tucker will ask and what Putin will say. How have you come upon this knowledge? Are you psychic?

2. You claim Tucker is seeking to "stay relevant" yet every video he puts online goes viral nearly instantaneously, regardless of the subject. Seems like he's more relevant than any other media personality on the planet, and doesn't need to touch on the Russia subject at all to maintain that relevance.

3. Even your narrative phrasing about Putin pushing a war is not correct. The Donbas Republics formally requested assistance from Russia after Ukraine murdered innocent citizens of those Republics for 7 years. Russia's terms for peace have been outlined since day one: Kiev withdraws from the Republics and does not join NATO. That's it. It's Ukraine that has been throwing away the lives of the bulk majority of it's male population in order to try to control people that have no interest in being controlled.

It doesn't matter what you would do if you were a "serious journalist" because you're clearly not. And the reasons Putin won't interview with the hacks on CNN, MSNBC, etc. are obvious to everyone with a brain. Watch them actively shout down anyone who attempts to make a point that doesn't support their narrative, over and over, and it's clear they do not care about truth or facts or anything other than the narrative they are propagandizing the public with. Why would the President of a nation of 143 Million people waste his time with such ankle-biting idiots?

Putin's op-eds have been published by the NYT and the WSJ in saner times. The point is to hear an alternative point of view, understanding that his point of view will absolutely be self-serving.

But to your point, is anyone seriously pretending that Zelensky is being challenged by "real" journalists in Western media? Of course not, it's one propaganda puff piece after another. Hearing from Putin will at least be interesting.

I don't have to be "psychic" in order to realize that Tucker has been parroting Russian propaganda since day one. Or that he has lost his massive platform on FOX.
I also don't have to be "psychic" to see how you're already sold on Russia's absurd excuses for killing countless civilians and invading a sovereign nation, how you already agree with their propaganda and thus want to see it spread to even more gullible idiots.

It's called deduction and common sense. Come back to apologize after the interview if you have it in you.

Why are you working overtime to promote the theft of the wealth of US Taxpayers and give it to Ukraine without even understanding what the conflict is about?

The fact is that all this hand-wringing over Tucker sitting down for an interview with Putin is bound to cause support for the current Administration to fall even farther than it already has. And Progressives are terrified that their wargames will be brought to an abrupt end when the new Administration enters office. :)

So let's see, you've judged, without hearing what anyone other than Kiev has had to say, that Russia is bad. Yet if you were to ask the officials of the Donbas Republics, Crimea, and Russia, it would seem that Ukraine is guilty of crimes against humanity, and the active aggressor.

Welcome to both JSP and PARD, btw. Unusual to see a person posting in PARD within a day of joining the site. Wouldn't be a multi, would you?

No, the fact is that hundreds of billions worth of US Taxpayers' wealth and weaponry have been stolen from us and sent to Ukraine, where most of it promptly vanished.

It is in the direction national interests of the United States of America to know why our money is being sent there, including what the conflict is TRULY about.

Russia is not a US enemy. Russia was our business partner after the USSR fell, and up until 2021. Ukraine has NEVER been our ally, OR our business partner. The US has become poorer due to the sanctions we've imposed against Russia. Taxpayers have been stolen from to support a proxy war that is wiping out the male population of Ukraine.

The idea that the only people who get to say why these actions are being taken is our own President, and the Puppet government in Kiev is hilarious. Propagandists always seek to control all information. The fact that the progressive left and pro-war right are howling over a basic interview? Should tell you everything you need to know.

I don't think you're my enemy, but I know you aren't my friend, because you support propagandists who push war, rather than peaceful diplomacy and an informed public. :)
