if you have a gripe with the federal govt you sue them, you don't break the laws they make.

stop supporting traitors. we're not barbarians. these morons believe the US govt has a conspiracy to destroy texas by letting mexicans come across the border freely, not exactly high grade intellectuals.

that border has been a leaking point for 30+ years, its just politicized now. and that's both ways, biden is too soft for political reasons, texans being too hyper politicized for the opposite reason. if they met in the middle they might actually get something done, but they wont.

It's politicized now because numbers are at historic highs, and that's without the "parolees" getting waved on through in the hundreds of thousands, or the Biden admin's attempts to conceal accurate migrant reporting.

"The Emerging Democratic Majority" came out in 2002, and by the reelection of Obama in 2012 it was received wisdom that demographic changes (i.e. immigrants) were going to propel democrats towards one-party state status. That theory has sort of come apart at the seams, as Ruy Teixeira himself acknowledges, but the perception that "immigrants vote blue" and the Democratic obsession with turning Texas blue are obviously part of the equation when it comes to the radical shift left in Democrat immigration policy over the last 20 years.

We don't need a compromise that tries to paper over things by processing more asylum claims, nor one that sends billions to Chicago and New York so that they can pay for more migrants via federal fiat. Any long term solution for what to do with illegal migrants already here (and most people at that point support some sort of path to citizenship) can't proceed until we have a president that can secure the border.

Hopefully they do. Tired of Hispanics who speak zero English walking around expecting every institution to speak Spanish for them.

Your hysterics don't take away from the fact this is pure election year drama. If republicans really cared about the border they would have passed the reform bill in Congress rather than tank it so trump can scream about the immigrant invasion all summer.

This argument only adds up if the reform bill had actually been suitable to secure the border. The text of the most recent draft hasn't been made public, but the details which leaked so far strongly suggest that that's not the case. It's fairly obvious why the feckless moderate and/or corporate Republicans in the Senate supported it: this bill would have been a placebo to the wider public and thus covered their asses. Likewise, it's obvious why Democrats pushed for this bill: they knew that it would get stopped, either directly in the Senate, or by the Republican House majority, thus allowing the Biden admin to score a messaging point and shift blame for his border mess onto Republicans.

Actual numbers showing how extreme this problem is, actual numbers showing how minuscule and insignificant your police brutality scam was, hysterics. Thank the lord Texans aren’t torching Del Rio, but if we did maybe our voices would be heard for this cycle.

Forgive me for quoting you. Return to giving one sentence useless responses about how republicans are bad for everybody to ignore.

Is this a serious question you're asking when were talking about trying to deter migrants?

When companies are waving their arms just across the boarder saying come work at Pizza Hut, Sonic, Target, come build homes and commercial office space for us, come, come , come. You think that's helpful?

its a known better life, because its a highway to where companies are hiring. Look at all the interviews with undocumented migrants, there's often something in common and that's that they know they can find work. Because we are waiting with open arms for them to come work for us.

Want to do something positive, start making the fines for the use of undocumented workers massive, financially crippling, and enforce it. But the trade off is everything is going to cost significantly more. Lets face it, its cheap labour, if those crops need to be harvested by a USA born or a Canadian born, foods going to be expensive, its going to cost more to stock shelves, commercial real-estate will cost more per square foot resulting in higher lease rates meaning the service or product costs more in the end, etc.

You say we like this is a common thing. I have never worked for any business that openly invited illegal immigrants to come work for Pennie’s. Never, not once. I have worked in the oil fields for close to two decades.

I am 100% positive there are small family owned CVD crews who hires their family members from Juarez, but nobody gives a shit about that. When I go down to my ranch you see more Chihuahuas and Cohuila license plates than Texas, and it is normal and nobody cares.

You pretending to believe this is about cheap labor is disingenuous and just a way to deflect from the fact that most of the planet wants to see America implode into itself and cheers this horrible shit on. The same people who spew bullshit about Donald trump being some sort of Soviet sleeper agent are those who cheer the blatant destruction of everything normal Americans value, perpetrated by the democrat party.

You can spin fairy tales all you want, but there's millions in the workforce in the USA. This is known, and widely accepted by any capitalist system. And I don't understand what is so difficult about using Google to be honest. There's lots of reviews, studies and documentation on unauthorized migrants in the workforce. You don't need to tell some fairly tale like the abortion topic.

You are the one pretending. Its also fairly widely known that Texas and Nevada lead the charge in unauthorized immigrants in the workforce with the highest amounts. Logically makes sense, if you're a migrant you don't have to go far when employers are standing with open arms right on the other side of the boarder.

You think i am saying it should be this way, that's wrong. I am saying there should be an enforcement of heavy penalties, not just say their will be penalties, but actual enforcement. But that would have its own consequences as stated since prices would go up on everyday things.

you think illegal immigration on the scale that it is, isn't some sort of invasion? What is it then? Simply illegal immigration? Why can assault and murder be the same thing depending on the escalation?

you're out of context. the constitution states the federal govt must step in to stop an invasion to threatens US sovereignty. as in another country trying to change where out border is. not every "invasion" is an attempt to change the location of the US border. i stated it wasnt that kind of invasion. the rest is semantics, call it what u want, just dont state falsely that this specific article of the constitution applies legally, because it doesnt.

And you still act like this is about cheap labor. I conceded to you there are absolutely illegals working in the US. You are just arguing your own argument because you refuse to admit I am on the right side of what the actual topic is about.

Here is a continuing example of how these demons (specifically targeted at quoted user) will not even acknowledge this issue.

Here is a little exercise for you. Type governor Abbott into google. You won’t see the corporate media even covering this. Then type in Donald trump. All you see is cnn nbc abc wapo NYT.

It is about cheap labour.....companies that need unskilled labour will almost always go with the cheapest. This is just basic capitalism. That's why companies welcome them with open arms, hence why there's millions working.

I don't think you are following. I am acknowledging there's a large amount of unauthorized migrants, and I have supported heavy fines for the use of their labour.

How you are saying I am not acknowledging the issue of migrants when I am supporting fining companies using the labour in efforts to mitigate authorized migration on top of other efforts.

Do I need to use smaller words?
