there's a solid % of support among dems for literally any person who has a pulse not named Biden. not everyone can so easily ignore his clear mental decline.
but when it comes to paying attention most of RFK's platform is right out of the 1980s and 1990s dem playbook. anti corporation, pro worker, common sense reform.
Best I can find is 10% of dems for RFK Jr. Which I agree likely comes from just wanting somebody without mental decline. His major sources of funding are all Republican though, and when I see him on any form of social media it's because Republicans are pushing him.
The "mental decline" narrative of Biden is pretty clearly overblown. Not being sharp enough to give fast public speeches isn't really a big deal for administration.
Biden's pretty clearly in control of his administration even if he's not as fast as he used to be by a pretty wide margin. He's got the luxury of 40 years of experience which is likely the only reason he is functional in this environment.
Still, I've been pretty happy with the results. He's not as immediately sharp as he used to be, but he's clearly still able to think issues through and is actively fighting for things I want. Going to the picket line for UAW was pretty awesome. He's even doing things conservatives should LOVE, like going out of his way to meet and make ties with China's neighbors to further economically isolate them.
Trump's in a pretty severe mental decline too, but it shows in different ways because Trump's entire sense of self worth is being good on camera.
