That's a fair point. Obama warned Trump against appointing Mike Flynn, but the recommendation was based on the presumption that Trump would not want his incoming NSA to interfere in diplomacy before he took office. That presumption was wrong.
Obama knew that Trump was reaching out to Russia to try to calm the tensions Obama was trying to publicly enflame. Specifically that Flynn's job was to tell Russia that if they held off tit-for-tat retaliation for Obama's sanctions, Trump could try to rescind them once he's in office. Same story as Obama lifting the UN veto on condemning Israeli settlements, or making Bear Ears a monument, or whatever other flaming bags of poo Obama left in the oval office. Obama knew it because they were spying on Trump and he had the FBI head reporting it directly to him. Obama knew that Flynn was doing it
at Trump's behest, as they were butting horns during the transition. If
I knew it, Trump and Obama knew it. The man spent his last couple months in office trying to sabotage Trump's incoming administration and Trump was working behind the scenes to put out the fires Obama was busy lighting.
Not sure how you can look at that flap and think what Obama was doing was good for our country. He was sabotaging policies
he believed in and had expected to keep in place when Hillary was elected. Hell, Obama was even elected on a platform trying to ameliorate tensions with Russia. He didn't go out and scream hatred for the Jews, but he spite-checked Israel before getting mated. Did we benefit as a country by having the FBI and DoJ spend years sticking their noses up Trump's ass?

So we see that the FBI was concerned about an incoming NSA being an asset of the Russians, and therefore, they were concerned about his place in the new administration.
The interview basically confirmed their viewpoint. Flynn obviously lied to the FBI.
What that note confirms is that the FBI explicitly set up the meeting for the purpose of trying to trap Flynn in a lie in order to prosecute him or get him fired.
We already knew that for years from even the most basic contextual awareness of the story, but the note makes it undeniable.
I get how you've probably denied that whenever we talked about this story before we had explicit proof, and I'd go out and say something like 'its transparent and obvious and might as well be dancing naked in front of us' and you'd say its not proven- but in this case we later got that actual proof
