This will not help Trump or republicans in 2024 if a trial with anything convicted or prosecution still ongoing. A mistrial, hung jury or unlikely not guilty will help. Nobody cares about the Trump base, the GOP is trying to swing counties like Maricopa, Pinal, Milwaukee, suburbs of Pittsburgh, Detroit, Philadelphia. People don't care what Trump says anymore. The longer he's in the news, the worse it is for Republicans.
Best thing for DeSantis would be for trumps obesity catch up to his heart before the primaries.
Charges are sealed and nobody is reporting it
Presumably, he's going to try to independently charge Trump for every different business record of and/or payment to Stormy Daniels. One of those things overreaching prosecutors often do, take a single allegation and try to frame it as many possible different redundant charges all at the same time.

were new facts for Alvin Bragg to put forth, they would already have been available to the federal prosecutors in the Cohen trial. The odds that he pulled some miracle piece of damning evidence out, that didn't exist in the past 6 years, seems extremely unlikely. Even liberal media outlets were calling out these potential charges as incredibly stretched in the past few weeks and downplaying the chances Bragg would actually go through with it.
pretty good chance that despite charges under seal, we'll get the full contents leaked before Tuesday. But we'll know by Tuesday for sure
