Governement AND culture failed it, and in France we did much better (while not being the best at it, low reaction time) while being in first timeline and probably being the country with the largest rate of "c19 tourism" aka early contagion.
Above anything: this is a severe weakness vs Asian discipline, where everyone was able to wear a mask quickly while there was a complete selfish chaos on the other side.

I really hope the best for future to the west. Btw i think the whole american continent (south) has catastrophic numbers.

I really dont think he's doing Trump a favor with this. The elderly feeling unprotected, abandoned and exposed to the virus by Trump and his allies is the main reason he's so far down in the polls. Reduced margins out of white retirees are the only reason why Trump hasnt wrapped up Florida yet...


On the policy/public health side of things, I'm not a fan of governors banning mayors and local officials from doing what's right for their local community. What does DeSantis in Tallahassee know about the covid situation in Miami, Hollywood or Tampa?
