McConnell has used Trump insofar as Trump has been useful, and shut him down at every other turn. He gets far too much undeserved hate.

Pointing to mild pushback over Trump wanting to change the election date or refuse to allow a peaceful transfer of power isn't exactly the best evidence that Mitch "shuts him down at every other turn".
