IMO its about search engine algorithm finesse. pump out a few hundred tweets with someone's name vilifying them, and then some schmuck comes across the name in an article and thinks who is that, googles it, and finds out they're a villain from tweets.
The algos are also setup to probably pick and further reinforce what's 'trending' depending on mentions/number of accounts talking about it, so then the loudness of the message is further amplified and highlighted. I noticed this on twitter regularly. I follow accounts talking about Ukraine war on twitter and literally every other day on my 'trending' section it's a bunch of 'Russia is collapsing', 'Putin is done', 'Kursk' etc. It's not that i even follow these NAFO copy/paste accounts but based on some algo, they are most numerous so their message is amplified.
