notice how the same is NOT said for the 3 tri-state (D) governors who actually stuck old people with covid patients

but still... sooner or later, all other world governments followed suit. he might have gotten shitty press for a week or two, but then people would have seen that the EU and Australia and Japan and South Korea and Vietnam are all doing the same thing as big bad evil dictator Drumpf. and with community cases going up rapidly in early to mid march, people's fear and desire to feel protected by their government would have overtaken any kind of concern over those "facist, reich-wing deathcamps".

perhaps but i think you underestimate the unwarranted insidious hatred some have for the President. they think burning down minority-owned businesses and minority communities is a way to #resist the administration for whatever reason

remember there is a large portion of Americans who religiously believed it when Biden said in 2012 Romney was “going to put black people back in chains” and in 2016 when the lefties said “Pence will put all lgbt people into death camps”

The travel ban would have been ineffective, so fighting it is a moot point.

Even if I did admit all were at fault, and I'm sure we could find some faults at some point with everybody since nobody had a future map, Trump continued to be at fault and actively fight against the correct course for literal months after the evidence was in, so "all being at fault" doesn't mean "all are equally at fault".

I know democrats are at fault for turning a mouse hole into a mountain. Had to send covid cases to nursing homes.

I've seen a lot of people blame Cuomo for "sending them back to the nursing homes" but I have yet to have somebody offer a realistic alternative. Best I've got is "set up tent homes for them" which I shouldn't have to say why that isn't adequate or practical.

Also, if it's a molehill, then why did Trump want to ban travel? Again, you can't have it both ways. Either Covid is a big deal and he hasn't acted accordingly, or it is a big deal and he tried to suspend travel.

It's a no win situation. Personally, I would have given infected people worse care by keeping them in tents. Sending them back is guaranteeing an outbreak in confined quarters.

Thats the point. Its a no win situation. Theres no real basis to criticize Cuomo because there were no good options. The tent city idea is taking people recovering from a respiratory virus and putting them in tents at nights between 35 and 45 degrees with subpar care. I think thats actually worse because it basically guarantees readmittance as they keep getting sick.
