So here's an example of where that leftwing vs islamic terrorism gets really muddled
Right wing agitator Jake Lang held a rally outside of Zohran Mamdani's apartment, and during the fairly mundane protest a couple islamic terrorist "counterprotesters" lit a homemade IED and threw it at them while screaming allahu akbhar. Now, is that islamic terrorism, or left-wing terrorism? After electing Mamdani its a lot fucking harder to say. The bombs appear to be home manufactured grenades using nuts/bolts/screws around a central explosive charge held together by duct tape and lit with a hobby fuse, so not exactly 9/11 attacker quality level but still active terrorist attack

That's where I'd say there's a pretty big overlap. The islamic terrorists are literally in the camp with the left wing counterprotesters, standing alongside them, supporting their islamic leftwing mayor.
Its not like its some hajjis living on a compound in the woods plotting to shoot up a synagogue while ranting about israel, this was literally at the mayor's flat, trying to kill a conservative influence like a charlie kirk assassination 2.0
