America is a republic not a democracy and the republic has undergone a hostile take over by cash and corruption. I hope this changes in the future. Anyone working in a government job that has done excessive corrupt activity such as multi million dollar insider trading should be hung for treason imo to set an example of what happens to corrupt aholes.

January 6th was less violent than a typical Wednesday afternoon in Chicago. I would argue that you talking about this as an example of right extremism is proof that they actually are not that extreme.

I do agree people have been radicalized but honestly the people on the right are arguably much less radical. They tried to assassinate Trump twice and no violence erupted. Most people just want to retain their inalienable rights such as freedom of speech and the right to choose what medicine they take. That is not extreme but fundamental for the human spirit.

Generally speaking a lot Americans do not know they are not exactly a democracy.

By and large most of them do not understand much about political systems.
That being said most people around the world do not understand too.
