put returning travelers in a mandatory 2 weeks quarantine in hotels near the airports, threaten those trying to avoid the quarantine (e.g. flying to mexico and coming over the land border to avoid american airports) with several months in jail.

Different level of downplaying. Democrats/media said zero threat. Trump said partial threat. Which was the smart thing to do. If he came out demanding martial law and everyone has to wear masks and millions are going to die then thor would of been out rioting and looting. Can't have a bunch of Thor's yelling that trumps hitler taking away his rights and sending out the Gestapo to steal mail boxes.

And then what? When we got more data about how quick it spreads he decided to just stop all policy on containing it by encouraging his supporters to violate quarantine?

Oh, and there's also the fact that Covid was already in the country when he said he wanted to ban travel from China, so his travel ban would have done basically nothing.

Well it's kinda hard to do anything when you got an angry mob of crybabies trying to impeach and every step he tries to make the democrats in turn try to hold it up in court. He didn't react fast enough, but every outlet was saying that covid was nothing to worry about. The fact is if he would of tried to do everything that you could possible of wanted from him them democrat party would of tried to put a halt to it.

CNN NBC msnbc and Washington post were all downplaying it and backing Nancy Pelosi. Try to at least watch the news you defend. I never said it was a flu hoax that was to harm the President. Reading comprehension level on your part is zero.

Trying to impeach him is totally separate. It's telling that you have to bring up distractions.

It's not just that he "didn't react fast enough", he actively avoided reacting and still to this day has tried to downplay the importance of social distancing and mask wearing.

Covid would have hit any president hard, but Trump has actively made the situation worse. It's not just that he made a bad judgement call, he almost always made moves exactly contradictory to the evidence.
