I guess the social stigma attached to a teenage boy banging an older woman is just a lot smaller than the stigma for the reverse (and much more common) case in which an older man is banging a teenage girl.
It should also be mentioned that Brigitte Macron was only ever his teacher in an elective drama club, so there was never a proper power imbalance which she could have abused. In fact, she was the one who insisted that he moves from Amiens to Paris to finish school while he, at age 17, was adamant that he'll marry her one day.
Macron is a pompous jerk; I hate the vast majority of his policies and what he stands for, but his unconventional marriage is a really silly reason to oppose or attack him.
It's not exactly a good reason to attack Macron himself, given that he is the victim of the crime while the perpetrator is Brigette. The whole idea of child-mature adult relationships is that the still developing child lacks agency. Macron, being groomed since age 14, didn't have the agency to declare he wanted to marry her at 17. The poor kid never had a chance - she swooped in while he had just gone through puberty to deprive him of any chance of having children or going through the normal stages of a romantic relationship. I know the Europeans don't think this is as bad as us Anglos do which is a deep cultural divide. But seen through a valid lense it is heinous. And, obviously, if the genders were swapped everyone would be up in arms which is a hypocritical, misandristic double standard. Boys deserve a shot at life without some old, already withered, had many children and a long marriage woman coming in to stick her hand in the child cookie jar.
