One need only look as far as the CDC's other data (which don't go through the White House) to see that its weekly excess death numbers since the beginning of the pandemic exceed 200,000 people. So whether Covid19 killed them, or co-killed them might be an academic discussion, what is not academic is that more than 200,000 people are dead who ordinarily wouldn't be based on historical data.
I look at it like this...
If you're already old, with one or a few serious conditions already, even a common cold, flu etc., could kill you. I don't think the 6% is right, nor do I think the 200,000 is right.
It's probably some where in between. Probably more like 25-30% of all the deaths are truly covid-19 deaths. Ofc, that's just a guess.
It's getting kind of hard to get any accurate information these days. Too many normally trustworthy sources seem to have "other" motivations.
