What Bobb said isn't correct, though. Trump's been speaking ill of or talking down to McCain for decades, as evidenced by that interview with Dan Rather above.
What does that have to do with any claim regarding "Insulting PoWs"? Political figures are criticized by both the business and celebrity class all day every day. Trump was both businessman and celebrity. Trump has contributed more in donations to both democrats and republicans than any sane person should. When he talks about John McCain's policies throughout his political career, that's something called "normal".
In regards to the specific being a prisoner comment, that was directly in response to McCain insulting both Trump and his supporters. And that's standard par for the course for Trump: "Talk shit about me, I'll talk shit back twice as hard."
Any indication that it wasn't a personal attack in response to a personal attack is equally as stupid and incorrect as claims that Trump's comments about Rosie O'Donnell's fat ugly face (fact check: TRUE!) was a comment about all women (Fact Check: FALSE!).
On the flipside, what would the reaction have been if due directly to decisions of his Administration, 13 service members were killed while he was in office, and while receiving the remains of 11 of them, Trump was constantly checking his watch, then went off on a tail about how he's the greatest because he attended a military academy at some point? Think those who're making excuses for Biden's behavior would be making excuses then?
I seem to recall that when Ryan Owens died during an operation in Yemen, where he had full support of the US Military and the Administration, and some bad intelligence led to the death, the left were calling it "Trump's Benghazi" and calling for impeachment. Yet he provided all due respect to both the fallen soldier and his family. What's the standard here? My contention is that when Biden does something good, I'm going to point it out. When he does something shit, I'm going to point it out. Biden cost 13 US Military members their lives. He then disrespected them and their families. This is horrible, and endemic to Biden's entire political career. He's a war hawk who supported the 20 year war, then withdrew in the worst way he possibly could, providing enemies with billions in equipment, stranding Americans and their allies, and more.
Also, a brief aside, who's decision was it to install a Johns Hopkins University Professor as the "President" of Afghanistan? I'm mildly curious.
