Because McCain did nothing wrong.

What does that matter? It's a ridiculous criticism that includes every pow as collateral damage.

It would matter if what Bobb said is correct. That it was just a feud between two people, and Trump was just trying to insult McCain on a personal level however, unfortunately, his insult came out like he was insulting all prisoners of war, when it wasn't his intention.

What Bobb said isn't correct, though. Trump's been speaking ill of or talking down to McCain for decades, as evidenced by that interview with Dan Rather above.

Why though? Did McCain do or say something to Trump?

As others should. McCain was one of the loudest and most renowned voices when it came bombing half a dozen countries in the last 20-30 years. It's people like him why we wasted trillions invading Iraq, & other countries and shifting that debt burden on regular Americans. It's people like him why we bombed plebs in the 3rd world on very little evidence of wrong doing half the time.

Just because he was a POW doesn't make him some untouchable saint like figure. The criticism from Trump was dumb but the sentiment is right.

He was part of the cabal that did this during the gulf war:

Quote
Nagy cites a January 22, 1991, Defense Intelligence Agency document entitled "Iraq Water Treatment Vulnerabilities," which states: "Iraq will suffer increasing shortages of purified water because of the lack of required chemicals and desalination membranes. Incidences of disease, including possible epidemics, will become probable unless the population were careful to boil water." That document adds that "it probably will take at least six months (to June 1991) before the system is fully degraded."

The documents mention possible diseases that may flow from the degradation of Iraq's water supply. These include: cholera, diarrhea, diphtheria, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, kwashiorkor, measles, meningitis, pertussis, and typhoid.

The article says, "The sanctions, imposed for a decade largely at the insistence of the United States, constitute a violation of the Geneva Convention."
