Snopes taking its fact-checker responsibilities so super seriously that they needed 6.5 years/2500 days to finally conclude that Trump, in fact, did not call neo-nazis and white supremaciests in Charlottesville "very fine people":

Too bad that the pervasive spread of this false claim undermined his agenda and political capital, and contributed to both the 2018 midterm backlash and his ouster in 2020. I'm sure the fine folks at Snopes deeply regret this totally accidental and unintended side effect of their handling of this storyline.
