Don't worry. This isn't going to change anyone's mind. The Dems act like this almost daily, so it's not like this "hit job" has any more merit than the last 20 or 30.

Would be a lot easier to gauge the movitation and credibility of these people if they were willing to come forward publicly and throw their name behind their accusations.
Perhaps they'd do that if polls were Biden +15 instead of the current Biden +7 with still a sizeable chance for Trump...

For this particular story I agree they should come forward. Sometimes anonymity is understandable, in this case less so. But let's not pretend that it would substantially change the reception by Trump supporters.

I see no reason NOT to believe it given how he attacked McCain, Duckworth, etc. But either way, as IceMage said, it doesn't matter. People like Gooms and Ghot will make every excuse in the world even if there was 100% proof. I think we can safely ignore this story and just add it to the pile of "why Trump is unfit."

Probably not, but if there is one institution that should still have a ton of credibility and goodwill with Trump supporters, it's the military. It's the one institution Trump really shouldnt shit on, from a strategical point of view.




McCain, Duckworth etc. were all political foes of Trump. Painting them as weak served his goals, and his pre-existing dislike of them probably made him more inclined to view them as losers. His comments on them are circumstancial evidence supporting these new accusations, but they're far from definitive proof.

I was just reading an awful piece in the Atlantic the other day on the Blake shooting. If they were to demonstrate an ability to produce factual reporting, it would go a long way to restoring their admittedly shaky credibility.

What if Trump attacked opponents based on their race? Would you argue that he wasn't racist, he just attacks the traits of those who criticize him?

It says something about his views. Plenty of material to attack McCain outside of his service, but he went there.

If you had to bet, would you say Trump didn't make these reported remarks? Trump supporters seem to be slow learners... for years the critics have told you who he is, and you keep playing dumb.



Why do you think it would have an impact? Is there evidence that Trump's actions or words in the past have substantially changed his approval numbers? It's a cult... even ostensibly reasonable people like yourself continue to support him.
