the "we need to go back to the good ol days" vs "we're not racist" cognitive dissonance is always fun.

my aunt posted the old "black history month shouldn't exist" meme on facebook, i was feeling spicy and asked her what black history she learned in school that makes her think highlighting blacks throughout history that textbooks missed wasn't needed. got back a paragraph that basically came out to "its not our fault white men did all the noteworthy things", so i dropped a copy pasta list of blacks throughout history that no one learned about. got nothing back. xmas should be fun.

I am interested in this copypasta. Is it a list of black inventors?

black inventors, black athletes, black military companies, black musicians, black writers, black politicians, black scientists, etc.

some of whom i'd heard of due to extra research and college, but none of which we'd learn about in school because they simply weren't in textbooks. we got George Washington Carver and Jesse Owens, as if they were the only 2 black men to have ever done anything. that is of course not including MLK and X, whom u can't tell the story of the 60s without mentioning of course.

So that means white month is all of the other months combined

yes, assuming blacks did 10% of the important shit this is a great argument for black history month.

They can get the last weekend. We get the rest of the month

So if they did 10% of the important things then getting 28/365 days is selling them short. They need another 8.5 days

That would mean that white people get 8+ months

It’s more like 80%. White people are lazy and stupid and steal from the better races.
