I love how people with no expertise on public health suddenly become lead epidemiologists. I'm a doctor myself and i know enough not to claim that i know better than an epidemiologist who works 9-5 on public health matters. But what do i know.

Besides, a mask does reduce the quantity of droplets spread by a person, that's why theyre used in surgeries. Aerosol transmission requires longer exposure, so for short periods of time in a crowded space, such as public transport, a mask does work as protection.

What do you have against masks anyway?

Actually you lost some time, this poster has some personal issue and almost 100% of his posts are false statements. Since years.

Masks are essential, and the best results are obtained when 100% of people are wearing one.

It hinders everything that happens in life... Have you seen the decline in birth rate? Is it worth 5% less droplets from other people who are mostly not sick? Add to that the degenerate Democrat economic shutdowns and you have some of the worst policy decisions in history. The notion that these masks don't have a cost is absurd.

If anything, I think people above the age of 50 should be in masks, for everyone else it is a waste of time that statistics still have trouble proving in any real way. Just make it voluntary.

Ive been wearing a mask 8 hours a day 5 days a week and then when I go anywhere besides work.

Werent you on depression meds for a significant period? The masks and shutdowns are hindering life. Ill wear a mask if Im working at a lab but you cant have a normal life under these absurd restrictions.

The left has truly sunk to new levels if this is your ideal world.

I am still on depression meds, and likely will be for the rest of my life, and would have been significantly better off if I'd gotten on them far earlier. I actually just upped my dose for the first time though. If I only have to do a dose adjustment every 7 years that'll be a pretty good thing.

I'm thriving in the shutdown because it's how I live normally. I don't go out much so not going out is like "You mean I can stay home and not feel bad about it? Fuck yeah!"

I feel bad for normal people who get "depressed" from having to stay home, but they'll survive. It's a good argument for a universal basic income and nationalized healthcare, so people have security when things go to shit. Would definitely help those people.
