Finally some published, peer reviewed data on the frequency of asymptomatic spread:

- Severe symptoms: 6.15% transmission rate
- Moderate symptoms: 5.58% transmission rate
- Mild symptoms: 3.30% transmission rate
- No symptoms: 0.33% transmission rate
So it seems like asymtomatic spread, while possible, is really not playing any meaningful role for the spread of covid. This info, in turn, ties into the debates about reopening schools, considering the fact that infected children stay asymtomatic far more often than infected adults.
We would, of course, want to see more studies like this one, so that we can be really sure about these findings before making big decisions.
