article reads HRC endorses Biden
funny because HRC and Biden hated homosexuals and/or same-sex marriage during the 2008 election and many years after. Ironically both Sanders and Trump were way more tolerant in their views much earlier than those other two bonafide (D) bigots
Indeed. In 2008, when the tides hadnt turned yet, Biden took no risk and didnt come out in favor of gay marriage:

Asked if he would support gay marriage, Biden said: “No. Barack Obama nor I support redefining from a civil side what constitutes marriage.”
Oh btw, what did the Obama/Biden administration actually do for gay marriage post-2012? Iirc, they didnt exactly throw the weight of the federal executive behind this issue until the SCOTUS ruled in favor of it in Obergefell v. Hodges.
At the end of the day, the winds had already changed on this issue by 2012, and Obama/Biden were still treading carefully on the issue, not taking any risks in order to advance LGBTQ issues. I really doubt that Biden deserves too much praise for his cautious and opportunistic approach. Of course he's still by far the better candidate from an LGBTQ point of view than Trump, particularly considering the fact that both a health issue or impeachment could take out Trump during his second term and pave the way for Mike Pence, a prolific LGBTQ hawk.
