Lol, what's your issue with it?

it's too much of an utopian belief and it seeks to escape the problems that face the human condition via technology. i'm not as hopeful when it comes to what a new technological revolution would mean to humanity.

Idk if I mentioned this before, but I am also skeptical of an intelligence explosion or "singularity", since I think we're REALLY far away from human-level AI and those who predict human-level AI by ~2040 are WILDLY optimistic.

However, we have working technology RIGHT NOW that has potential to radically change human life more than anything else in history, namely CRISPR genome editing, also the widespread use of preimplantation genetic diagnosis to select for preferable traits globally would usher in a new and vastly different species within a few generations, and I think this is probably gonna happen because once there is a sizable number of "designer" humans there will be selection pressure and the "un-enhanced" humans simply won't stand a chance.

if what you believe comes to pass humanity shall be lost and instead of creating a heaven upon earth, we'll have a hell upon earth yet again
it sounds like like nothing less than the total negation of what the humane experience is, beyond of which there is no value. anything inhumane is devoid of value and use, and anything that wishes to advance beyond humanity must fight against everything that gave birth to it.
it's a future in which "technology" will finally consume humanity to replace culture as something that humanity created w9th "technology" overwhelming humanity itself.
"capitalist reason" wishes to encompass everthing, and to end history and include everything and all knowledge and experience within its' sphere. thank the heavens it's incapable of doing so, and in fact it's only an ideological cripple wishing to overtake what is humane.

Anything not strictly human is most certainly not devoid of value, it can be far more deeply enriched in value in fact.

Culture and the preferences and human values we hold doesn't have to be subsumed.

There's nothing intrinsically preferable about the accident of biology humanity is at this point than what we have been at any point in the past, even though we're biologically different.

Perfect response to the 'Ken Ham' argument.
