Russia, Iran and even Saudis are behind the intel/attack just like what Nato does for Ukraine. The timing of conflicts breaking out all over the place is directly related to the handling of Russia by Biden administration, alas complete diplomatic failure.
As for the conflict itself, Hamas launches its attacks every decade or so to justify their existence as "resistance". The far right Israeli government around Netanjahu is more than happy when those conflicts break out to justify their rule and repressive methods. Israel occupied even more territory illegaly. Last time, an Israeli pm tried to stop the conflict for real, he was shot dead by an inside job, then Netanjahu was elected and is there "for some reason" until today.
Basically, Hamas and the shitty Israeli government need each other to survive. None of them are interested in real peace ,which is why I don't give a damn about both sides.

An alternative / Conspiracy theory

There are theories that both the US Govt and Israel government know it but they allowed it to happened " Pearl Harbor ".

But this is just an alternative / conspiracy theory. Don't quote me on it though.. I am just listening to TVBS Taiwanese GEO Political News channel 30 mins back.
That is what they say. They based their logic that CIA/ Mossad intelligence gathering is pretty much top of the world.

If they can hunt down ex nazi's and sneak them back into Israel for trial and execute them, hunt down the Assassins who killed their sportsmen during Olympics , Kill the Iranian General in Iran with their drones etc etc .
How could they have not known about this attack or at least sense it.
