Derphead and his ilk are just clinically insane. They see something and instead of going from A to B or even A to E, their brain goes immediately to Y or Z. They literally conjure up the worst possible outcome if it's something that they detest and and the best if it's something they wholeheartedly agree with. There's literally no middle ground - just black or white.
