Orbans selected president, supposedly a staunch nativist and christian conservative, resigns after pardoning a convicted child abuser.

Just can't make this shit up.

Ireland's government is taking in a higher number of people than the country's infrastructure can handle. Add a couple cases of rape and knife crime, which are a typical side effect of immigration from muslim and/or african countries, and you get a really explosive mix.

The irony as Ireland has a substantial diaspora itself.

Did the Irish diaspora commit terrorist attacks in the name of their religion, deride the neighbors in their new homes as "infidels" or cause a massive surge in violent crime which far exceeds that caused by different, similarly poor immigrant groups?

Are you saying all migrants to Ireland did those things? Not understanding.

The point is Irish have migrated all over the world in massive numbers, for there to now be so much backlash to migrants coming to Ireland is ironic. No judgement, but it is.

You can't just pretend religion doesn't exist

The Irish diaspora is located within the Christian sphere not all over the world

My main point is that Islamist immigrants/refugees are not miscible with Christian nations

They are very different societies and you can't put people together and expect them to magically agree on a common set of cultural mores

Cultural mores are broadly defined by religion

No one has a problem with Ukrainian refugees and frankly it's obvious why, they're Christian and not Muslim

There's nothing ironic about the Irish not being happy about Islamic refugees and immigrants
