He doesn't care about policy or actual leadership. To understand the Republican and far right authoritarian mindset you just have to remember that they are fundmentally scared of the world. They don't care about the qualities of a leader beyond if they make them FEEL safe. Trump talked a big game, so as long as they just listened to Trump they could convince themselves they were on top and everything was going to be okay. Kamala doesn't make them feel safe, and in fact because she is different from them she makes them feel threatened.

That's why the far right is full of preppers and gun nuts. They are scared of the world. It's why it's full of racists. They are scared of people who aren't like them.

Not to say that all preppers or gun nuts are far-right, it's just why they're so prominent in that part of the spectrum.

I agree people are tired of dumpster fire politics. That's what happens when your only options are a far-right proto-fascist party and a center-right party dedicated to compromise with the far-right party.

Our politics has gone nowhere but to the right since the 70's on foreign and economic policy. Even social policy has only moved left at a rate far slower than the populace has in general.

We need a radical shift. We've tried far-right ideologies and they've failed. Politics based on fear instead of logic tend to fail.

Really isn't. Our foreign policy is largely unchanged, and Trump's foreign policy was virtually unchanged from Obama, who was virtually unchanged from Bush. (Trump did 4x more drone strikes than Obama did)

Biden is literally defying the courts to keep the Trump era policy of keeping asylum seekers in Mexico, and is just as brutal on the border.
