This retarded logic might work on the American voters... after all, Trump got elected once. But Democrats choosing the most moderate candidate in the field who is denouncing the riots and violence seems to nullify the argument that they're one with the chaos.

It all comes down to how detached from reality the voters are. There's no second-guessing to be done if Biden loses... it'll simply be an indictment of America.

Why did it take Biden months to come out against riots that Barack would have condemned in minutes? The Democratic party has fundamentally miscalculated in thinking that the world of woke suburbanites and the NBA is indicative of electoral success. They supported the unrest because they thought it was the politically expedient move. Now that the neighborhood is literally burning down around them, with Biden's poll numbers collapsing, they're desperately trying to reverse course. I don't think you give the American public enough credit, they see it for what it is.

because he is a lifelong swamp demon. Obama got into the top job early into his political career ironically so did Trump.

I'm not so sure about that. I think Obama just understood that his role as the first black President in American history made him a lightning rod for disgruntled, bigoted whites. He understood that every word he was saying about racial issues carried extra weight and had to be chosen extra carefully. Had he muttered words like "reparations" or "systemic racism", the entire country would have gone up in flames, and he knew that.

I would strongly assume that Obama's true feelings on race relations and police violence are more liberal than the restrained statements he gave about those issues during his time in office. This is imho explained by political calculus rather than by "swampiness".

Because they're throwaway lines from an old man whose campaign is cutting side deals with the comrade from Vermont, and whose VP pick has been egging them on. If Biden is capable of having an actual Clinton moment, he'd be well ahead in the polls.

I don't think anyone believes that Biden is a radical. They believe he's an elderly who has lost five or six steps and is the palatable figurehead for a radicalized left.

This reminds me of the leftist infatuation with getting Trump to condemn anti-Semitism. After Trump does it, the left argues that it wasn't convincing or passionate enough.

Biden has condemned violence and riots. He's done so multiple times. His campaign has released statements doing the same.

If you want the Democrats to completely ignorance social justice issues and simply speak to the white grievance crowd, it's not going to happen.

Why did his campaign reach out to Sarsour with an apology? I think you expect us to be blind to how his campaign actually feels. As they say, when someone shows you who they are, believe them.
