The real problem is two-fold:

1.: A period of additional stress in the pension and healthcare system caused by the demographic aftershock from the emergence of the anti-baby pill. The very sudden and sharp decline in birthrates in the late 60s and early 70s means that there will be a very large cohort of pensioners (from the boomer generation) which has to be provided for by an unusually small base of working-age people. This is a big issue, but a temporary one. Over the past 30 years or so, birthrates in most Western countries have stabilized at around 1.4-1.5 children per woman. Without immigration, this leads to a long-term decline of the population, but as long as it's a steady decline, the social security systems can be adjusted accordingly.

2.: Greed by the rich and powerful. The standard of living in a society is determined, roughly speaking, by its GDP per capita, not its raw GDP. As long as the GDP declines proportionally to the population, the society does not actually become poorer, just smaller. It is a problem, however, for the billionaires and the political elites since their wealth/power is tied to the size of the underlying economy. For them, a declining population directly undermines their position. That's why they have a much higher interest in "replacement migration" than the ordinary folks, no matter the friction and collateral damage it causes.

1/ Let's not forget we aren't as disciplined, hard working, and skims as Japanese or South-Koreans.

Weird, Here if you have a problem with your heart you go to emergencies in hospital or you even call emergencies who will bring you to the hospital... When it's bad you get your treatment pretty quickly.

About migrants:
Politics & advisors are aware of the whole statistics regarding the population and economy... They perfectly know that "importing" alot of migrants cause several problems.
But a bigger problem is this base population who is just dying with low birthrate: the largest part of these migrants are working and are bringing "new blood" to the economy, btw take care not mixing legal and illegal migrants too.
In France we have alot of problems with illegal migrants. So that's it again, like i posted earlier: hardening policies and requirements regarding migrants & illegals, the bill I posted (as example).

I can admit the high brackets living in "rich" neighborhoods care less about an increases in socialt tensions [because these will be concentrated is specific problematic sur-urban areas] while they are welcoming a migrant boosted/necessary economy.
Once again: the kind of bill i posted.

exactly why many emergency rooms are full to bursting

people cant get appointments and then go to the hospital, where they then wait for 10 hours

yikes, stop coping

i think you still dont get it

its not about real emergencies, but about people with a problem going to the hospital, because the next appointment is in 3 months

btw i waited in the largest hospital in hamburg for over 7 hours with a torn achilles before anyone cared to at least take a look

are there more important matters? sure but i am not talking about that

Why are you complaining ? It's not an emergency ? You can wait or not (if you can pay a little extra for non conventioned doctor/specialist to get faster appointment). Perfectly fits with right wing ideology btw.
7 hours ? Wow I don't understand, I had to wait like 1-2 hours when i broke my Ankle.

I just checked:
Dentist: 12, 14, or 21 december, the 3 first on the list.
Ophtalmologist: 26 december, 3 january, 6 january, the 3 first on the list.

Wtf ? Are you a beta ?
