guy thinks that defunding the police means literally abolishing the police.

lets take this as an example.

why was it easier to arm police with military grade gear and equipment than it was to provide ppe to medical workers and staff?

answer- because america cares about spending more on guns and violence than it does on saving and helping people.

moving away from shoot first questions later is the whole basis of defund the police. they should be trained in keeping the peace, empathy, and to resort to violence last. they are not.

in your response to your attacks on biden. let me refer you to what trump's biggest cronies have to say about joe biden vs trump.

How do you propose police have more training and better screening during hiring with less money?

.......i guess shifting the budget to not spend billions on overpriced military grade equipment and into training and hiring budgets is out of the question as I stated (not explicitly) above.

in this perspective, it looks almost the same as communism, lol

Communism is a stateless, classless system. If there’s a government, there’s no communism. Period.

Name one example of bad policy tho

None of his stances are actually extreme

Leaving the TPP which strengthened China tremendously.
Appointing some judges who are flat out unqualified and not members of the Federalist society
Relying on acting heads/deputies instead of doing due diligence and getting people confirmed
Obviously botching the COVID response (there are things he could/should have done earlier)

Basically, there's a mix between bad policy and some really bad execution.

Their platform is primarily Orange Man Bad, followed by a string of fringe, far-left ideas like eliminating the police, ICE, prisons, borders, etc

So a candidate having “incoherent thoughts’ is a concern of yours & yet you’re supporting Biden huh. That’s funny. Short of reading a pre-written speech, it’s readily apparent who’s more coherent. Which is why Biden’s mostly hiding in some basement, largely staying out of the public eye, & is pushing for less or even no debates, while Trump fields questions from a pool of reporters for 30+ minutes every day & wants more debates. At the very least they both have coherency issues, but to act like it’s exclusive to Trump is odd.

So improving America is a pedigree for your candidate? Biden’s been in politics for what, 40 years, & has done virtually nothing, besides putting a bunch of poor black people in prison.

That wasn't the vibe I got at all when watching the DNC. As a former Republican, I felt very welcomed and I'm glad they are choosing ME over the far left loonies.

@bold You should read up on his legislative history as well as his actions as VP. He is one of the most effective people at navigating Congress.

I love how no matter who it is the carbon copy criticism is "he's been in politics X years and has done virtually nothing" because they can't do research and see they've done a shit load in the time they've been in office.

It's intellectually lazy. I'll admit that even Bernie has done some things legislatively (but it's not to the level of someone who is a consensus builder). Congress is typically made up of "doers" who aren't really in the spotlight and "ideologues." Obviously, everyone does their committee work so every member of the Senate will fall on that spectrum of ideologue (Cruz/Sanders) and doer (Klobuchar/Feinstein/Grassly). Some people are a unique combo of both (Warren) but that's exceptionally rare.

I obviously have a strong preference for doers which apparently makes me a corporate shilling swamp creature.

What are Biden's greatest legislative achievements from his time in Congress? The 1994 "superpredator" crime bill which caused tens of thousands of young minority men to be put into jail for relatively minor crimes, and which is nowadays panned by most of his own party?

Are there other major pieces of legislation where Senator Biden was a sponsor or important contributor?
