Kellyanne Conway leaving. After Biden speech and "watch me" destroying Trump once again, jump in polls...
Maybe some others will follow, leaving the Trump boat, can't stop winning.

republicans have announced their platform discussion for the RNC.

It is....to support trump 100%.

No policy, no discussion, no ideas, not one solid campaign message.

this filth needs to be eradicated from this planet.

Yeah it’s a stark contrast to the DNC’s message of ‘Orange man bad’

they actually have a platform of ideas, or in warren's words, a plan.

trump has no plan. in mirrors his incoherent thoughts, his inability to string ideas together, and reflects in his rhetoric that its all about him.

he is smokes and mirrors. he has been on an international stage for 3 years now - do you really think america has improved its standing in the world?

You forgot "America is a rotten hellhole of racism, discrimination, bigotry and exploitation, we really need to change something about it, a breath of fresh air... by putting the man in charge who spent the last 40 years in Washington".

What makes you think that his supporters care about America's standing in the world? The whole "America First" doctrine is centered around the rejection of this notion.

Every dollar you cut from the state department costs you $5 of bullets.

They may not know it, because they're ignorant of how the world works, but an "America First" doctrine is actually just "America is gonna have to do things the hard way because we lost our economic and diplomatic position".

They care about America's standing, they just don't know it because they think all the good things about having a privileged position in the world just come for free and aren't the results of a century of exercising soft and hard power.

The Brazilian meat conglomerate that presided over an alleged “work while sick” culture at a plant in Colorado and deadly COVID-19 cluster at a facility in Nebraska during the early months of the pandemic will now be advising the federal government on health policies.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, an arm of President Donald Trump’s administration, announced last week that it had appointed Sherri Williams, a health overseer at JBS, to its National Advisory Committee on Meat and Poultry Inspection. This panel provides recommendations directly to Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue on oversight matters.

Quote
While JBS is hardly the only meat processor to witness horrific outbreaks amid the global pandemic, it has an unusually lurid history with hygiene and government oversight. Headquartered in São Paulo, JBS was one of more than two dozen companies caught up in a 2017 sting in the South American nation. Authorities in “Operation Weak Flesh” asserted they had caught the processors bribing inspectors, selling expired meat to schools and consumers, and treating their product with illegal fillers and carcinogenic chemicals.

Quote
JBS denied at the time it had committed any quality violations. However, the company’s executives and biggest shareholders, Joesley and Wesley Batista—whose family founded JBS—were simultaneously ensnared in an even larger corruption scandal, Operation Car Wash. The pair confessed to bribing nearly 2,000 Brazilian politicians.

That's a very simplistic and one-sided perspective. There is definitely some fat in the State Department that can be cut. Sometimes, it's better to stay clear of the problems in far away countries. Sometimes it's better to wield the big stick than to talk gently. Trump is right to stay away from the wars in the ME as best as he can. He is right to be more combative and hardline on Iran. He was definitely wrong to blow up TPP without having a backup plan for how to keep the Pacific "contain China"-alliance together without it.

At the end of the day, foreign policy is about the right mix between soft and hard power. He let's the soft power part of it atrophy just like Obama neglected the hard power side.
On balance, I think that Trump was right to cut down the United States' role as world sheriff and pursue a more isolationist foreign policy, but he overdid it, particularly when it comes to the tone he strikes with allies.

Their platform is primarily Orange Man Bad, followed by a string of fringe, far-left ideas like eliminating the police, ICE, prisons, borders, etc

So a candidate having “incoherent thoughts’ is a concern of yours & yet you’re supporting Biden huh. That’s funny. Short of reading a pre-written speech, it’s readily apparent who’s more coherent. Which is why Biden’s mostly hiding in some basement, largely staying out of the public eye, & is pushing for less or even no debates, while Trump fields questions from a pool of reporters for 30+ minutes every day & wants more debates. At the very least they both have coherency issues, but to act like it’s exclusive to Trump is odd.

So improving America is a pedigree for your candidate? Biden’s been in politics for what, 40 years, & has done virtually nothing, besides putting a bunch of poor black people in prison.
