You're not fooling anyone lol. The first amendment is the first amendment and the text hasn't changed in centuries. Case law is case law and you don't seem to understand the difference.

Well, one of us doesn't. Goodyear is breaking the law. If any employees of Goodyear take this to court, they will win.
Then you can make all the noise you want, and it won't change that fact.

The law is NOT black and white. I realize it's much easier to think of it that way, but the courts won't do that. Which IS my point here. It's also how this will fall under the 1st Amendment, when it DOES go to court.

You can try and wheedle out of admitting that you understand exactly what I'm saying, but even that won't change anything. You KNOW Goodyear is in the wrong. It's obvious.

But keep telling yourself, you're justified in being angry at Trump for doing exactly what he should have done... call for a boycott.

Political identification is not a protected class. I've fired people SPECIFICALLY for their political beliefs (9/11 conspiracy stuff). So no, Goodyear is NOT breaking the law. If someone says they voted for Trump in an at-will state, you can fire them immediately. No questions asked. The same applies for a Clinton voter. And you know what? GOOD. I support BUSINESSES, not WORKERS. I'm not a fucking socialist.

It has nothing to do with public polling. They couldn't care less about that. They've had the destination in mind for years.

Thats even worse

WASHINGTON — Maryanne Trump Barry, President Trump’s older sister and a former federal judge, described him as a liar who has “no principles” in a series of audio recordings made by her niece, Mary L. Trump, in 2018 and 2019.

The recordings were provided to The Washington Post, which published them online Saturday night. In the recording, Ms. Barry can be heard disparaging her brother’s performance as president.

“His goddamned tweet and the lying, oh, my God,” she says in one of the recordings posted by the newspaper. “I’m talking too freely, but you know. The change of stories. The lack of preparation. The lying.”

Trump claims he doesn't know who she is.

Her family members were caught fraudulently enriching themselves at the expense of a charitable organization. So it would run in the family.

Can we at least agree that companies should not make partisan rules for their employees which explicitly give preferential treatment to one political party over the other - even if doing so would be legal?

Up until Trump got elected I'd agree, but at this point it would be irresponsible to treat Trump as anything but dangerous.
