Interpretations of text doesn't mean the text changes...you need to be more careful with your words. In order to change an amendment, you need to go through the amendment process which is quite difficult.

We don't update the constitution every time a court hands down an opinion. You're confusing the law as written (the amendments) with jurisprudence (the interpretations of the law).
