What exactly was the phrasing from the interviewer on August 13th? Was it something ambiguous like "Do you condemn the neo nazis in Charlottesville"? Or was it something like "Do you condemn the neo nazis among the protesters in Charlottesville"? If it's the former, I can understand Trump refusing to answer such a suggestive question at a moment when the situation was messy and chaotic, and emotions were running high. If it's the latter, then your point stands.
