In regard of masks the doctors states: It significatly decreses the exhaled air droplets, *insert spreadsheet of % decrease inch by inch with different kind of masks*
A side: Make masks mandatory whereever people go enmass, and keep the distance everywhere it is possible. It is a minor inconviniece and it slows the spread down to a stop much sooner.
