My research adviser said it was fine to hook up the computers in the lab to crypto miners. They don't impact the performance of the computer for our uses, so that's nice.

They're not great, but they've over doubled my mining capacity since it's free power.

Still doing Monero just because I haven't bothered to look into anything else. After I get my computer set up Saturday I'll be making like 8$/day, which really isn't bad since the overall power consumption is only going to be like 1$/day.

Not really, and I don't know if I would recommend it. Exchanges have been quite stingy with their USD withdrawals, so you might end up receiving your money far later than you need to, especially with higher amounts.

It is a legitimate money making strategy though, I'll give you that. If you can automate it even better, though it's very likely that you will be competing with others who do the same.

Suppose I buy BCD @ x amount on Binance and then sell it on Kucoin as there's a 131.62% difference currently. That should be enough to negate transaction fees etc, right?

Idk man. Depends on the amounts you trade with and I honestly don't know the fees for those coins.

And do your research on the reliability of USD withdrawal of these exchanges. If it isn't reliable, you can't arbitrage with USD.
