during all of my years of knowing Christians, being involved with Christians and not being a Christian i've not met a single strawtheist that atheists love to bash. do they even exist?

Bit of an exaggeration. There's loads of great content on the site, though.

fuck "singularity", fuck transhumanism, fuck their views on ethics, fuck the use of Bayes' theorem in everything (esp. ethics)
and fuck their theories of consciousness and identity

tho the articles i've come across are probs cherrypicked by their opponents.

Also fwiw, there are many authors as it's a public forum, obviously they're more homogeneous than d2jsp for example but there are lots of differing viewpoints.

Oh dear lord, I'm looking at one of the older posts on Chalmers (primarily attacking him with incredibly naive arguments) and am embarrassed for having recommended the place.... I just found the place so didn't have time to analyze it completely.

Granted, there still is some really good content, mostly the practical stuff rather than the (pseudo-)philosophical stuff. Like for example there's a really good post on the best introductory textbooks to various academic fields, which I intend to make use of.

Still interested in your thoughts on transhumanism and "singularity".

Didn't know what transhumanism was, so googled it
