All being said this is a pretty poor move on Trumps part. His supporters unyielding attacks against "cancle culture". Now you have a corporation, that has freedom to set its own workplace policies as long as they fit into federal and state laws / regulations making its own decision and all you have is the same group saying stop them! Don't use them they tried to stop our maga hats or whatever.

It's good entertainment.

Yes it does. What value was added by president Trump condemning them. The president shouldn't involve themselves with promotion of products or boycotting them. What piss poor president that sets.

There's things that a competent high level politition should stay away from one end that's one of them.

You're going to use the argument of but it's blocking people's free speech or some garbage. Who cares. It's not the employees company and if they disagree they can quit. HR policies are set in accordance with a companies values and as long as it meets state end federal regulations there's no argument. They can do as they please and the free market will judge if they went to far by not buying their products.

It is not the place of a president to be making that call.

The president is the torch bearer for culture / society and should condemn Good Year with the same vigor as he would a nazi regime.
