we may not have 10% of the restaurants, but they'll serve 10% of the meals. i 100% believe that. essentially this is like betting on walmart over amazon, convenience of at home dining delivered to your door fueled by covid concerns in an already super competitive market just spells doom and gloom. i used to sit down to maybe 20 meals a year at restaurants, ill be surprised if in the calendar year after covid i eat 5.

Trump must own his response to covid-19. At the same time, it's been needlessly politicized by both sides. Partisanship and hypocrisy in enforcing social distances rules (Obama funeral good, religious funeral bad. Liberal protests good, conservative protests bad) has fuelled the "hoax" takes, as people see liberal media simultaneously up at arms and entirely ok with mass gatherings.

Conservative protests were against an orgainzied and effective response to a contagion though lol.

I'm not willing to endorse that level of nihilism.

The first governor that was hit harder and first fucked up. But the following governors haven't done better. The only states doing ok are empty ones with nothing happening.
