Like it or not, Biden is the one who withdrew. Trump made the agreement, but fundamentally did not get it done despite having 4 years.

This was going to be a shit show no matter what, and once the smoke dies down I think it's going to be seen as being handled better than it seemed in the moment. The big issue is that the Afghani government collapsed far far faster than anybody anticipated. Probably went worse than even the worst scenarios Biden was briefed on.

A much smaller number of people who actually made it to the airport before the Taliban takeover of Kabul were flown out over the past 2 weeks, sure. But this does not mean that the original objective of the mission was achieved.
