Would seem prudent to take the time to answer the bolded, usually in consultation with trusted confidants. Large as this issue is, there is an underlying core of any situation like this where perhaps the aggrieved are not likely to make the most measured response in the immediate aftermath. Having to reconcile blowback, a history of propping up Hamas, and a history of inhumane treatment of Palestinian people is but a start.
