Trump wasn't reelected because he mishandled covid, didn't live up to the task of being a leader during a time of crisis. And of course because he's Trump and creates 5 die-hard haters for every 4 die-hard supporters. He never had much of a margin for error to spare going into 2020. Still, getting hit with covid during an election year was kinda unlucky for Trump; just like he got somewhat lucky back in 2016.

Biden is of course not the sole reason for inflation, but his actions and policies have exacerbated it in a lot of ways.
