lol, you didn't actually read the article, did you? relevant witnesses and testimony concerning the substance of the impeachment vs. obvious stalling tactics by a party that already made their mind up to not convict trump for inciting an insurrection.

while i do think that witnesses would have further demonstrated who has the facts on their side (not that anyone capable of critical thinking and open minded doesn't know that at this point), it's somewhat understandable to not extend the humiliation of republican co-conspirators and sycophants - they are sufficiently exposed to anyone who cares about the facts of what happened on jan 6th, and it's not like congress doesn't have other important matters on their plate now that mcconnell can't just outright refuse addressing issues of critical importance anymore.

absolutely amazing how the same people that went on about hillary fucking clinton (who, after losing the electoral college to trump, became basically irrelevant) throughout trump's whole term, now suggest we should simply "move on" from trump, who not only has a firm stranglehold on the entire GOP (as proven by his acquittal, despite his responsibility for the armed insurrection of jan 6th), is still the god emperor in the minds and empty heads of a majority of republican voters (plenty of examples in this very forum), but most importantly, who is directly responsible for many of the main issues facing america right now (like the terrible handling of covid, the unprecedented political and cultural divide, the ballooning deficit thanks to generous handouts to his corporate buddies, climate and environmental issues resulting from his deregulation favours for his business friends, a shambolic healthcare situation...).
