Tax information released, nothing to hide. Paying at 31% rate on just over 10 mil in income.

I just saw that. Is a lot higher than I thought it would be, I respect her a bit more now.

In the same story though I saw she's leading Trump in most battleground states by multiple percentages in all polls.

Trump has very little love here in Ohio. He does have support in rural areas though.

I can't wait to see Trump's answer on the debate stage as to why he is refusing to release any tax returns. What a joke.

It's political calculus. Trump knows he is going to take heat and face scrutiny either way.

Either he doesn't release his tax returns, and people criticize the lack of transparency, or he does release his tax returns, and he faces the heat for whatever nasty things are in his returns.

Releasing his tax returns probably hurts him more than it helps him. If I'm his political adviser, I'd be advising him NOT to release his tax returns. He's facing one of the least transparent and trustworthy opponents in modern political history, so he can always play off that to try and reduce the criticism. He's going to take a loss either way on this subject.

But as an American, yes, it is a frustrating and blatant lack of transparency. There is undoubtedly something in Trump's tax returns that are, in his words, "not so good."

I've been saying it since the beginning it's not a political move. Trump is a bozo that shoots from the hip politically.

It's a business and pride move. The tax returns are clear undeniable proof that he is just a dude with money. There is nothing great about him or above rich guy average about him.

He sells an illusion and pulling back the curtain hurts his business and it hurts his ego.

When analyzing a politician's political behavior, the pursuit of political incentives should be considered.

If there was anything in those returns that made Trump look good he would have released him no matter who told him not to.

He has no political/personal discipline or control with small things and disregards him campaign's advice every day. It's a mistake to approach the mind of Trump like any other politician

The decision for Donald Trump to not release his tax returns is a political one.

The criticsm he would recieve for the bad things in his tax return probably outweighs the criticism he will recieve for not releasing his tax return, especially against a candidate that also has transparency and trustworthiness issues with the American public.
