i would not be shocked if this turns out to be true, and that netanyahu deliberately dismissed it because he knew such an attack would unite the country, and at least for now stop the protests against his unconstitutional power grab.

On a more interesting note, the shekel has fallen to multi (5+) year lows. Similar thing happened with Russian ruble before a quick rebound.

i mean, cutting power and water to millions of civilians, indiscriminately bombing whole building blocks full of women and children, and the dehumanising rhetoric they use, certainly point to very harsh, and certainly disproportionate retaliation. guess it depends on the reaction of the rest of the world if he fully commits to genocide, but it'd be the logical next step, and one of only two ways to end the constant violence (the other, peaceful way, which would be a free and independent palestine, is something he has categorically ruled out many years ago)...

that said, so far it's just speculation that they had concrete intelligence, and that could still turn out to not be true. all i'm saying is i wouldn't be shocked, it surely wouldn't be out of character for netanyahu...
